FAQ’s

Print

  • Visually, there is actually very little difference between PVC and silicone rubber labels
  • Both materials are good for the environment
  • Each can be completely customized with your logo and a 3D multi-colour effect
  • Both are entirely waterproof
  • Neither will have its colour fade when in direct sunlight
  • Each can be adapted to either self-adhesive or Velcro backing
  • Both are very easy to sew onto textiles.

Different labels give off varying impressions so you’re going to want to make sure that you choose the right one for your garments. There are various differences between the two, these are:

Price:

Rubber labels tend to be the cheaper option on a long term out of the two due to the ease of the production and as the materials tend to be of a more long-lasting quality. Woven labels are done on a loom and require more attention, therefore they cost more in some cases.

Durability:

Woven borders can be itchy when in contact with the skin. Satin, Cotton and Polyblend options are very soft. Polyester threads can uphold to numerous wash cycles. Label will withstand limited washes. However Rubber labels cause no Itching and are much more durable than woven labels as they can resist 10times more washes as compare to the older woven label

Professional quality:

You’ll notice that a lot of high-end fashion brands tend to use Rubber labels as opposed to woven ones. That’s because they give off a more luxurious impression and make your garments appear to be more expensive.

Intricacy of design:

Brand names, contact details and website addresses are exceptional 3Dand 2D designing with thousands of multiple colour options usually what you expect from a rubber label – but if they’re of big enough size, pretty intricate designs can be heat transferred on to the product directly. Whereas woven labels are not capable of combining hundreds of different colours together in a small place to produce intricate and advanced designs.

PVC labels for clothing are usually sewn on the outside of jackets, T-shirts, casual shoes; canvas covers, sweatshirts, and bags to promote the brand image.

The most preferred format is Illustrator or .eps vector artwork and all fonts converted to outlines/curves. We also accept .jpg, .pdf, .tiff, .png, .psd or .bmp files (please enlarge artwork 4 times larger than the pin size). We highly recommend the use of PMS Matching System colors in your art in order to reproduce the colors you require. For our Digital Pins, artwork should be at least 300 dpi or higher.

Yes, we will send you a proof after receipt of your order and will not produce your job until we get your final approval of the artwork.

We don’t guarantee 100% match due to the differences in materials, but we come very very close. The best way is to provide us with PantoneTMcolor codes to be matched to your design for 100% accuracy.

Yes, the hardness/softness can be adjusted.

The easiest way to apply rubber label is to sew them on. Most seamstresses and manufacturers will have needles that can easily sew PVC labels or Silicone labels on. In your design, please make a sewing channel called a “stitch ditch”” that runs around the perimeter of the label to make for easy sewing.

You can also apply rubber labels by heat adhesive or sticker adhesive. Heat adhesive might not be available for all applications, depends on the layout of the design.

Another option is to use a heat welding machine. A thermo compression binds the silicone label with your garment, so there is no sewing or adhesive involved. We can also heat weld the silicone on a piece of fabric for you as well.

Tape

For any given use of a particular tape to a particular surface there are only three factors that can affect the performance of the bond:

  • The pressure applied to the surface to form the bond
  • The ambient temperature and environmental conditions when the tape is applied
  • The cleanliness of the surface to which the tape is being applied

Yes, we produce customized size adhesive tapes as per the customer requirements

In case of sandwich printing, first a polypropylene biaxially oriented foil is printed on one side of the jumbo rolls, and then acrylate or hot melt  adhesive is applied to the printed foil on the print side. Then these jumbo rolls are slitted and cut in to the desired sizes to make the final product. This is feasible for very huge jobs.

Whereas, when the printing is done on plane tape rolls on adhesive type is call Bottom printed which is usually done for small to medium scale jobs. But the adhesiveness gets weaker on the printed design due to the application of ink. For small jobs it is economical and practical.

However, sandwich printing jobs give more sharp print results with better adhesiveness.
